Reflection 11/29/2011

Today I used imovie and it seemed kind of hard to use probly because it is my first time to use it. Im working on a project with alan for the project for the digital etiquette. I made some progress today I made a outline so about a small part of it is already done. I give myself a 7 for today because I was on task but I wasnt on task for most of the time. There was some times when I zoned out during class working on the project.

The plan for the project is on digital etiquette and it is going to be a movie. It is a public service anouncement on how it is digital etiquette. The movie will be real short because it wont be like a long one itll just have some pictures and a small clip probly because today is just the beginning. There is always room for improvement and editing and revising to be done.

I looked up for myself on google using my facebook name and all I found was my profile on facebook, that's all. I looked up my fist name and last name of what is on my report card and other things and I got nothing I found some soccer player and a musician. And last I looked up what my family calls me and found some guy with a youtube account who plays basketball and a boxer. Of what I have so far I think that my digital fooprint is good theres a small number of things I have.

Research

Unequal Acsess is how internet is gotten by people in a country the poorer people get less internet and badder internet than rich people get. The access could be like in Canada Japan South Korea England and some other countries where they state and provider of broadband pay for 1/3 of the cost of internet. Some towns and cities wire the houses and schools and they get the use of streets and power lines. In other plaes they try to lower the income so they can make broadband for the people and schools and libraries and other stuff or places that use internet. improving infrastructure generates more jobs, greater business investment, and higher tax revenues. The long-term economic benefits of better Internet infrastructure.This will make a digital footprint that is better than the one that was here 20 years ago or 20 years in the future if the broadband internet had the equal access like they do in Canada and other countries that have the income and access to the streets and power lines for internet baing able to have internet.

Investigation Digital Acsesss

I choose to do Uneqal Acsess to do for my project

Unequal acsess is what makes the country fall behind in technology out of all the othr place in the world. The internet acsess is expensive and most people cant afford good internet acsess. It isnt fair to other people who cant affrod intenet.

How can your digital footprint affcet your future

Facebook converstations and other stuff like that can ffect you future. If you go to a job interview you can be seen on the internet and it can be determined how you can get it or not.

Digital Acsess Sentences

America Offline is how many people there are that dont have internet.
Digital Divide impacts student in how they get information like some schools or homes dont even have any accsess at home because of cost of internet.
Any information will not be able to be acsessed if there is no internet acsess to the internet mobily

Self EVALUATION

         For my project I gave myself a 4 which is an 80. I have not gotten the evaluation of 3 6th graders so I don't get an 5 or 6 cause I don't even have one evaluation from them. I have 12.... no I have more than 12 posts on my blog I have 19 posts which is beyond what I am supposed to have so I should get a decent grade by now. I have a game which is simple real simple but it still explains the design cycle in a good way and is understandable so I think that I deserve a good grade which is about a 3 or 4
         My investigate paragraph is good I answered all the questions but theres not all in complete sentances. And I posted the tools I chose. It has 4 different criterions on how it is used and why I gave it that grade.  
          I give myself a good grade for plan, it has what Im going to do. It also says what Im going to do for my project. It has my plan on how Im going to use my time and how long itll take me to complete. So I decide to give myself a good grade like 75 or 80.
          For design I gave myself a 85. It has 3 sample designs of the project. and shows how itll be in a order.

DAY 22 Reflection

I evaluated some people today and have mae some progress in it. The paper is not so much filled but it has something on it which is better than nothing.

19. Did I follow my plan?
At first I followed my plan, my first plan was to make a flipbook and it was
a little hard to do because I couldn't save it so I changed to a game that I could save and
open again to  continue working on it.

20. How could I have improved on my creation?
I could've used my time more wisely, not thinking what am i gonna do next and
what am I supposed to do now I don't understand

I will use my time wisely in class and when I make a decision I will stick wih it
and not change my mind somewhere tords the end of when the projects halfway done
and I don't have nothing of progress done .

DAY 20

I still don't got the link working but it takes it to the questions page, OH WELL. Ill just have to keep it the way it is besides Ill probably try to get it to work and it'll probably mess up the project and ill have to start all over again. Next class it has to be evaluated and I only put a few minutes into makeing it so Ill probably not get a 6 or 5 but thats all right.

Design Brief

Im going to make a fGame tool whatever it is for my project.

11. What are the requirements for this assignment? 
It must be 2 minutes or less and it must be a simple project so a 6th grader can understand.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
For guests using the Gme Tool it is alot of typing and design to do. There is also only 2 minutes which is probly not enough to explain something like the design cycle.
13. How will you "test" your project?
I will show the project to my sister cause shes a 6th grader and guy in 6th grade who goes to my church and some other 6th grade people and ask them how much they learned form it.

WK6 SA Investigation Summation

I give myself a 3-4 for the investigation. Its not bad but it's not entireley good. I am not good at getting a 5-6 on any project because ive only gotten 3-4 mostly. The problem is stated I selected and analyzed and acknowleged resources. Its all done but kind of incomplete like its missing something. Im not sure what it is but it is missing something. So Igave myself a 3-4 because its good but not too good.

            I gave this a 4 in themes because theres themes but theyre limited themes and theres only about 5 themes, but theres more than in flipbook so i gave it a 4. Text is a 2 because when you put in text then the little thought bubble kind of takes up a entire panel. Theres not alot of characters cause theres only 4 but they have different poses and i gave it a 3. Its almost difficult to use and it has limited panels so I gave it a 5 cause its real hard to use. The points added up to 16 which is good i guess.
           There are about 3 themes in comicmaster. They are a building in some kind of swamp and in the street. There cant be anything added to the backround except for characters and little objects. There are themes and theyre okay so i gave it a 4.
             The text is hard to place it in the panels cause the text bubble or speech bubble or the thought bubble takes up a entire panel. Theres no sizing button on it so theres no way to make it bigger or smaller and dragging it out makes it kind of worse cause the text will get cut off. There is no special fonts or font size to make the font bigger or smaller. So I gave the text in this Comicmaster a 2 cause the text is really and if there is a way to change the text size or anything like that then it should be more noticeable.
             The characters are limited in this program cause theres only four of them. There is some wired purple guy some green guy some blue guy and some other guy. The characters could be put into different poses but theres only a few and they have to be dragged so it takes a while to get them into place. Other than the 4 characters there are objects that can be added like a car and a bunch of other stuff but some of the things thats supposed to be bigger than a character is way smaller and whats supposed to be smaller is way bigger, I don't remember a cell phone bigger than a car.
              The Comicmaster is really hard to use with some complicated things on it. I was almost there for an hour trying to put a backround in the comic thing. SO i just gave it a 5 cause it is real hard to use.

                      Theres no themes and you have to create your own theme so i gave it a 2. The text is good because it uses the computer fonts. Theres no characters so i gave it a 0. its real simple so i gave it a 1. 
                       The themes are ... well there are themes and you get to choose them but Im not sure. The themes are preset. But its good because there are unlimited themes but since there are no pre loaded themes i gave it a 2 cause you get your themes already there but there is not any themes you can choose from.
                        The text is is like using microsoft word also so the words are a font type. Using the keyboard to write words is much easier than using the mouse to write words The text is in black but Im not really sure if the color can be changed. I decided to give it a 3 because there is typing to make a text.
                        There are no characters so I gave it a 0 because there are none not even some pre loaded characters that you can use. Butt then again there are unlimited characters because you can make them yourself. But I still give characters a 0.

Today I decided to do a game kind of project. I went on Ms.Hinojosa's blog and found a arcade game tool and comic master tool and i decided to use the arcade game tool cause it looks easier to use. Arcade Game tool lets you to create a arcade game. Arcade game uses the internet and questions you make ti create it. It uses different games to choose to be made of.
